GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Rural individuals, families and communities in targeted rural areas assisted to make them environmental conservation conscious and self reliant producers and trades uplifted their livelihood, through IIEEDO. These people, however socially disadvantaged and remotely located geographically can successfully commercialise own economic activities to uplift own livelihood and preserve resources to secure own future in dignity. They can do this through own entrepreneurship, as private individuals, families and communities.

The IIEEDO initiative seeks to engender economic activities by the optimised profitable and sustainable usage of the whole rural and urban labour force and the needed development resources. This can be done with the deliberate husbanding the natural environment and sustaining a manageable balance between proven need, prudent use and consistent replenishment. It is required to significantly enhance and sufficiently spread human and economic development that eradicates hunger and poverty, without again falling into an unmanageable debt burden. This calls for reversing continuation of economic growth with progressive transformation, with broad human development.

The objectives of this initiative are to be achieved through civic and environmental education, in local communities, and schools, promotional of reforestation activities and rural development efforts. Rural development includes expanded and increasingly commercialised crop growing, processing, packaging and trading, as well as income generating art craft and bee keeping.
